Q1. As per symptoms, how is COVID 19 different from any other flu? Q2. When should you see a specialist if you have the flu?

A1. Seasonal flu and COVID-19, the illness caused by the Coronavirus 2, or SARS-CoV-2, that has led to the current pandemic, are both viral infections affecting the Respiratory System. Although the symptoms of COVID-19 and the flu can look similar, the two illnesses are caused by different viruses. Symptom-wise, Coronavirus disease will have dry cough and breathlessness, which we don’t generally see in common seasonal flu.

A2. If flu-like symptoms like fever, cold and cough persist beyond 5 days, then you should see a specialist for necessary advice.
