IQ City Medical College Hospital neurologist Dr. Soumik Sarkar has effectively treated an autoimmune neuromuscular disorder, myasthenia gravis, which causes weakness in the muscles. The patient complained of difficulty in raising his arms above shoulder level along with a mild drooping of his left eyelid. Dr. Sarkar prescribed a course of medication to which he responded quickly to make a dramatic recovery. The patient improved within 15 days; he is still on follow-up medication and physiotherapy. Dr. Sarkar is very pleased and satisfied that the patient has resumed normal activity after being discharged.
